The part nobody talks about
The moment doesn't end because you wanted it to.
It ends because something interrupts it. A pause. A reposition. A quiet decision not to. None of it is about wanting each other less — it's about the small precautions that have crept in around the edges.
A beat before anything starts where you're already thinking two steps ahead. It's brief, and it takes you straight out of the room.
"Wait — hang on." Four seconds of logistics is all it takes to pull two people out of a moment entirely.
Fewer positions. Less spontaneity. A shorter, tidier version of what you both actually wanted, chosen without either of you saying so.
Getting up instead of staying close. The part where it ends with admin rather than with each other.
You didn't lose the spark. You just quietly started being careful.

Confidence
Nobody is fully present while part of them is being careful.
You know the feeling. One eye on each other, one on the sheets. Some part of you stays switched on — positioning, checking, quietly managing. It's small enough to ignore and big enough to cost you the entire reason you're there.
Confidence isn't bravado. It's having nothing left to manage.

Meet the Intimacy Blanket
Soft enough to want against your skin. Built so nothing interrupts.
This isn't something you tolerate for practical reasons. Dense sherpa pile that's warm the second you touch it, wide enough that two people actually fit, and heavy enough to stay where you put it. It simply also happens to mean nothing goes any further than the blanket.
The only thing on the bed that's completely on your side.

How it works
Sherpa where you touch. Sealed where it counts.
The side against your skin is pure plush — no plastic feel, no crinkle, nothing that announces what it's for. Underneath, a bonded barrier does the entire job in silence, so it never once enters your head.
You'll forget it's doing anything at all. That's the design.
How it works
Soft on top. Sealed underneath.
Most "waterproof" bedding is a plastic sheet with fabric glued to it — it crinkles, it slides, and it feels like a hospital bed. This is built the other way round: a real blanket first, with the barrier hidden underneath where you never touch it.
Dense curled pile that reads as a throw, not a protector. This is the side you feel.
Bonded underneath the pile. Liquid beads on the surface instead of passing through to the sheet.
Smooth matte finish with no plastic rustle, so nothing announces itself when you move.

A better way
Everything you've tried instead.
Towel, spare sheet, or nothing
- ✕Slides and bunches within seconds
- ✕Too small to actually cover anything
- ✕Soaks through to the mattress anyway
- ✕Obvious what it's there for
- ✕Full bed strip afterwards
The Intimacy Blanket
- ✓Stays put where you laid it
- ✓Covers the whole usable area
- ✓Liquid never reaches the mattress
- ✓Looks like any other throw
- ✓Fold it off and go back to sleep
The short version
What actually changes.
No stripping the bed at midnight. Fold the blanket off and deal with it tomorrow.
